View open faculty positions

The neuroradiology section at the University of Washington provides clinical coverage and teaching at three medical centers (University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center, and the Puget Sound VA Medical Center). The neuroradiology section consists of 13 full-time neuroradiology faculty, eight first-year ACGME neuroradiology fellows, and one or two second-year fellows. We have one part-time faculty, a research coordinator, and a program coordinator. The faculty members have diverse clinical and research interests and strengths in neuroradiology and head and neck imaging.

Neuroradiology encompasses all diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of imaging studies performed on the central and peripheral nervous system, as well as extra-cranial head and neck.  University of Washington is one of the major academic institutions in the Pacific Northwest. Harborview Medical Center is the only Level-1 adult and pediatric trauma center serving the Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WWAMI) region.  As a center for excellence in providing radiology services, the neuroradiology section plays highly active roles in continuing medical education, resident and fellowship training, research and clinical practice.

All sites are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including two 3-Tesla and four 1.5-Tesla MR systems, three 64-channel multidetector and three 16-channel multidetector CT scanners, and two PET-CT scanners.  The Department also has an extensive imaging research lab that includes two dedicated research 3-T MR magnets: one at the Diagnostic Imaging Science Center (DISC) and the other at South Lake Union Imaging Research laboratory.
