Co-directors named for the Nathan Shock Center

Dr. David Marcinek, Radiology professor, and Dr. Jessica Young, associate professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP), have been selected as co-directors of the Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging. The announcement was made by Dr. Geoffrey Baird, MD, PhD, professor and Chair of the DLMP.

 
Doctors Marcinek and Young are well known to the DLMP and are recognized nationally and internationally as leaders in advancing the field of geroscience. Said Dr. Baird in the announcement, “I look forward to supporting Drs. Marcinek and Young in the coming years as they lead the NSC and our departmental commitment to continued growth of research in the basic biology of aging.”
