UW Radiology

Resident Life/Benefits

The Imaging Physics Residency Program is a non-ACGME accredited fellowship and operates under the University of Washington School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Office (GME).

Residents entering the Imaging Physics Residency Program will have opportunities to gain clinical experiences by interacting with a broad group of residents. It is our hope that our residents will collaborate with residents in the programs of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology as well as the Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Residency Program. The GME works closely with our residency program directors and department, hospital and school administration to enhance the quality of the learning environment for our trainees, ensure the safety of our patients, and support innovation in educational methods and clinical care.

In addition to a salary, Imaging Physics Residents are also afforded benefits consistent with those of University of Washington’s medical residents, including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holiday benefits, sick pay benefits, life insurance, and disability insurance. The Whole U focuses on fostering connection, holistic wellness, and engaging your interests. The Whole U is for UW, by UW, and shares the great perks available to UW faculty and staff.
