Facilities

Imaging Physics Residents rotate through several facilities which serve different patient populations and provide state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiography/fluoroscopy, mammography, 64/128/256-slice volume CT, 1.5 T & 3T MR, US and PACS, for observation and training. These sites are generally located about 10-15 minutes apart, with free shuttles available for transportation between most sites. 

University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) – Montlake and Northwest Campus

A tertiary care hospital specializing in organ transplantation, oncology, and cardiac disease. UWMC is consistently ranked among leading hospitals nationally and was named the No. 1 hospital in Washington state by US News and World Report.

Harborview Medical Center (HMC)

The public hospital for King County and serves as the only Level I trauma center for five states in the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) region. HMC is also a Level I stroke and cardiac center.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Care (FHCC)

The FHCC has been a top 10 nationally ranked comprehensive cancer center for the past decade. It is a joint venture of University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. 

Seattle Children’s Hospital

Consistently ranked in the top 10 pediatric hospital by the US News and World Report and is the only pediatric specialty hospital in the WWAMI region.
