Biography

Sara Kelly Toppin PA-C is a teaching associate in the Department of Radiology, Interventional Radiology section. She is a board-certified PA-C and practices primarily at the Non-Vascular Intervention (NVI) unit at UWMC-Montlake and UWMC-Northwest campuses.

Ms. Toppin completed her Master of Clinical Health Sciences (M.C.H.S./PA Program) degree at MEDEX Northwest of the University of Washington. Prior to completing her PA-C training, she is also a board-certified and trained Respiratory Therapist with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Respiratory Therapy from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls. Sara is an expert in multiple imaging modalities including ultrasound and fluoroscopy and has performed an array of procedures including but not limited to, paracentesis, thoracentesis, central venous access, joint injections, biopsies, sinograms, sentinel node injections, and central venous access removal.

Sara was awarded the Spring 2024 UW Medicine Cares Award for exemplary service at the UW Medical Center-Northwest campus. The award program was established in 2013 to formally recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and excellence of those in the UW Medicine community who consistently exemplify the UW Medicine Service Culture Guidelines by making patients and families the highest priority by placing their needs first.

She enjoys travelling, reading, and fitness in her free time.
