Dr. Matthew Kogut named Program Director for Interventional Radiology Residency Programs

Dr. Kogut wears glasses, has brown hair, and smiles gently into the camera.The UW Department of Radiology is pleased to announce that Associate Professor Matthew Kogut, M.D., has been appointed Program Director for Interventional Radiology Residency Programs this fall. Dr. Kogut is also the director of the VA Puget Sound Interventional Radiology program. 

In this role, Dr. Kogut will oversee all programmatic functions pertaining to both Integrated and Independent Interventional Radiology (IR) residency programs. He will also be responsible for recruiting a diverse cadre of talented residents, and creating a didactic curriculum that complements clinical training and patient care, among other duties. 

Dr. Kogut is board-certified in “Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology” and in “Diagnostic Radiology” from the American Board of Radiology. He completed a fellowship at the UW in Vascular Interventional Radiology in 2010, and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 2009. He completed an internship at Swedish Medical Center-Medical Education in 2005 and completed his medical education in 2004 at Ohio State University College of Medicine.
