Looking For In Residency: Collegiate, supportive atmosphere with a diversity of cases and service lines. Extensive research opportunities. For me it was also important to find a program where people seemed to enjoy spending time together as a team both at work and outside of the hospital.
UW Strengths: During the interview, I could feel the personality really shine from the residents and their excitement about the program. The personable culture, location, and world class training seemed unparalleled.
Advice: Be yourself! Take initiative towards your interests, but don’t concern yourself with what you think people want to hear or see. The program and people right for you will see your value.
Hobbies: Snowboarding, climbing, mountain biking, wood working, baking/cooking, SUPing.
