Biography

Dr. James Jeffries serves as an Assistant Professor in the Interventional Radiology Section at the University of Washington. He began his academic journey at Butler University, followed by earning his medical degree with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After completing his internship at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Dr. Jeffries pursued a combined Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology Residency (IR/DR Residency) at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident. He is board-certified in both interventional and diagnostic radiology.

Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Washington, Dr. Jeffries worked in private practice serving Seattle and the surrounding communities. He is passionate about serving patients through the wide range of procedures encompassed by Interventional Radiology as well as clinical education. 

Outside of work, Dr. Jeffries enjoys exploring the mountains and trails of the Pacific Northwest with his spouse and children.
