Residency program receives 2022 AAPM/RSNA Imaging Physics Residency Grant

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) have awarded the 2022 AAPM/RSNA Imaging Physics Residency Grant to the Department of Radiology’s Imaging Physics residency program.

Our new Medical Physics Imaging Residency program, led by Program Director Kalpana Kanal, Ph.D., and Associate Program Director Christina Brunnquell, Ph.D., has received UWMC accreditation and approval. The first resident is expected to start on July 1, 2023, pending approval from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP). The grant will help support one imaging physics resident for two years.
