New research and podcast on early breast cancer care featured on RSNA website

Multiple UW Radiology affiliates have published new research in the RSNA journal Radiology titled, “MRI-based Radiomic Features for Risk Stratification of Ductal Carcinoma in Situ in a Multicenter Setting (ECOG-ACRIN E4112 Trial).” Radiology Professor and Executive Vice Chair Habib Rahbar, MD, and Despina Kontos, PhD, (Columbia) are the senior authors on the paper. Dr. Rahbar is the principal investigator on the R01. 

Additional UW authors include postdoctoral scholar Anum Kazerouni, PhD, research scientist Debosmita Biswas, former research scientist Michael Hirano (now retired), former resident and fellow Jennifer Xiao, surgeon Sara Javid, MD, (UW Surgery) and Radiology Professor and Director of the Quantitative Breast Imaging (QBI) Lab Savannah Partridge, PhD. 

Dr. Rahbar, who is also Co-Director of the QBI Lab, recently spoke about the paper in the RSNA podcast titled, “The New Frontier in DCIS Risk Assessment.”
