Laurie Soine, Ph.D., ARNP to serve as Chief Nurse Practitioner and Director of Advanced Practice Nursing

Cindy Sayre, PhD, RN, Chief Nursing Officer, UWMC has announced that Laurie Soine, Ph.D., ARNP, Department of Radiology Nurse Practitioner and Teaching Associate, has agreed to serve as Chief Nurse Practitioner and Director of Advanced Practice Nursing. Laurie began her nursing career as a 5SE RN in 1988, and over the last 27 years has served in several advanced practice roles within the organization. In 2000, she helped create UWMC’s Advanced Practice Nursing Council and in 2013 the Advanced Practice Provider Committee. Laurie has a deep understanding of the role that advanced practice providers increasingly play within our health system. She is committed to interdisciplinary care teams and our teaching mission. Laurie completed her BSN at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, and her Master’s and PhD at the University of Washington. Laurie will transition into the role over the next month.
