Laura Aaltonen, M.D., Ph.D., leads CLEAR Center research study published in Osteoporosis International
Radiology Fellow Laura Aaltonen, M.D., Ph.D., led a research study published in Osteoporosis International with the CLEAR Center Image Processing Group (IPG) to refine osteoporotic vertebral fracture classification methodology. This project was initiated during Dr Aaltonen’s neuroradiology rotation.
The study, “m2ABQ—a proposed refinement of the modified algorithm‑based qualitative classification of osteoporotic vertebral fractures,” is co-authored by: Associate Professor Ken Linnau, M.D., M.S., graduate student Qifei Dong, M.S., CLEAR Center Executive Administrative Director Sandra Johnston, Ph.D., CLEAR Center Director Jeffrey Jarvik, M.D., MPH, Assistant Professor Nathan Cross, M.D., M.S. and former UW Neuroradiology Fellow Michael O’Reilly, MbbCh, now a radiologist at University Hospital Limerick.
