Kalpana Kanal, Ph.D., DABR, featured on RSNA podcast

Kalpana Kanal, Ph.D., DABR, was recently featured on the RSNA podcast “Radiology Podcasts,” where she was interviewed about her recent research on pediatric CT scan radiation doses.

Dr. Kanal was the lead author of a research paper published in the journal Radiology that established national dose benchmarks for pediatric CT examinations of the head, abdomen and other anatomy. 

Dr. Kanal and colleagues analyzed data from more than 1.5 million pediatric CT examinations submitted to the American College of Radiology’s Dose Index Registry, an archive of millions of image-study doses logged, de-identified and shared by hospitals throughout the nation.
