Dr. Pamela Mallari-Ramos named Medical Director of Interventional Radiology at UW Medical Center – Northwest Campus

She wears a beige top and lab coat and smiles into the camera.Earlier this month, clinical assistant professor Pamela Mallari-Ramos, MD, was appointed as Medical Director of the UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus, Interventional Radiology (IR) Section for the Department of Radiology. In her new role, Dr. Mallari-Ramos will oversee day-to-day operations, participate in quality analysis and improvement activities, and act as a primary contact for those within the IR section.

Dr. Mallari-Ramos is an Army veteran who retired after serving 24 years in the US Army Medical Corps. She earned a BA in molecular and cellular biology with honors at the University of California at Berkeley in 1994 and an MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland in 1999.

She completed a surgical internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI in 2000. Thereafter, she served as an Army flight surgeon in South Korea and in Hawaii prior to completing a diagnostic radiology residency program at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI in 2008. She went on to complete a fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of California at San Francisco in 2010.
