Delphine Chen, M.D., and Donghoon Lee, Ph.D., named 2021 Distinguished Investigators

The Academy for Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Research named Delphine Chen, M.D., and Donghoon Lee, Ph.D., 2021 Distinguished Investigators. This prestigious honor recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to the medical imaging field.

Dr. Chen, professor of radiology and Director of Molecular Imaging at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and Dr. Lee, research professor, were among 35 individuals to receive the award this year. 

Each honoree must meet the following criteria: a primary professional appointment in an academic Department of Radiology; be a recipient of an M.D., D.O. and/or Ph.D. degree; maintain an academic rank of at least Associate Professor; sustained productivity, including at least 25 peer-reviewed scientific research publications in which the awardee is the first author or senior author; and demonstrated accomplishments as an independent investigator with a substantial ongoing research program, including at least six cumulative years of funding as the Principal Investigator of a major competitive extramural research grant, according to the Academy.
