Christoph Lee awarded Kuni Foundation grant

Dr. Christoph Lee was awarded a 2021 Kuni Foundation Cancer Research Grant to help develop an infrastructure for evaluating promising artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for automated mammography screening interpretation at the University of Washington (UW). This $75,000 award will provide the resources to expand ongoing NCI-funded efforts validating a promising AI algorithm for mammography in Southern California to include exams from women screened through UW Medicine. These efforts will ensure that independent, external validation of these emerging tools provide evidence that is more generalizable to the U.S. screening population at large.
