Kleinhans Lab receives Well-Being Grant from UW Medicine

Kary S. Kublin, PhD, CCC-SLP, and Sarah Larsen, MS, both research scientists with the UW Radiology-affiliated Kleinhans Lab, were recently notified that they will receive a Well-Being Grant from UW Medicine. The grant will fund their project, “Taking Care (of Each Other).”

Says Dr. Kublin, “In the Kleinhans Lab, regular group activities have helped us reserve time and make intentional efforts toward having a culture of community-building and well-being. Taking Care (of Each Other) is a series of group activities and efforts to care for our physical workspace.

We plan to garden together and also renovate a space that is shared by team members and used by families when they come to the Lab to participate in research. We aim to continue building cohesiveness within our team and – by design – care for each other.”

Congratulations to the team, and we look forward to seeing the fruits of your labors!
