Congratulations to UW Radiology Professor Savannah Partridge, PhD, and Postdoctoral Researcher Anum Kazerouni, PhD, who were recently awarded the Precision Oncology Ignition Grant from the Stuart and Molly Sloan Precision Oncology Institute at Fred Hutch Cancer Center! The co-PIs received the award for their proposal, “Radiomics-Based Phenotyping for treatment Optimization of HER2+ Breast Cancer.”

Towards the goal of precision medicine, their proposal employs quantitative imaging and a novel radiomics approach to characterize tumor microenvironmental heterogeneity in HER2+ breast cancer for the prediction of treatment response. This work will help assess a patient’s likelihood of response to targeted therapies and/or disease recurrence, helping guide personalized treatment strategies.
