Dr. Dushyant Sahani a recipient of the 2023 RSNA Lifetime Honored Educator Award

The Chair of the Radiology Department and Professor, Dr. Dushyant Sahani, is a recipient of the 2023 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Lifetime Honored Educator Award. This achievement recognizes Dr. Sahani’s dedication to furthering the profession of radiology by delivering high-quality educational content for the RSNA.

Established in 2022, this award recognizes RSNA members who earn four RSNA Honored Educator Awards. The Lifetime Honored Educator Award serves as a benchmark of academic productivity in support of a meaningful and successful radiology career. 

RSNA members qualify by participating in a number of RSNA education offerings, such as:

• Authoring educational articles, or providing invited commentary, best cases, or guest editing in RSNA premier journals, Radiology, RadioGraphics or other subspecialty journals
• Authoring online education including CME test questions
• Serving as a faculty member at a live RSNA Course outside of the RSNA Annual Meeting
• Authoring an online professionalism vignette
• Serving as an intensive mentor at workshop outside of the annual meeting
• Serving as a visiting professor in the RSNA’s International Visiting Professor Program
• Participating in the Global Learning Centers Program
• Delivering an invited lecture at one or more in-person educational meetings or workshops sponsored at the RSNA Annual Meeting or offering an RSNA branded course at another organization’s meeting
• Authoring an education exhibit or Quality Storyboard
• Coordinating a Case of the Day subspecialty track for the RSNA Annual Meeting
