Congratulations to Anum Kazerouni, PhD, who received the Quantitative Imaging Network (QIN) Young Investigator award from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at their conference on May 20th. The purpose of the award is to recognize the contributions made by a young scientist, engineer, clinical staff or technical contributor in the field of quantitative imaging as a method to measure or predict response to therapy in cancer clinical trials.

A review committee comprising of at least three members of the Cancer Imaging Program reviews the applications and selects the finalist by a majority vote. 

The QIN promotes research, development and clinical validation of quantitative imaging tools and methods for the measurement or prediction of tumor response to therapies in clinical trial settings, with the overall goal of facilitating clinical decision making.
