Honorable Acknowledgements

Dr. Yoshimi Anzai is a former Professor of Radiology at the University of Washington, and now serves at the University of Utah. She is the Associate Chief Medical Quality Officer of the University of Utah Health System. She oversees healthcare quality, safety, and costs of care delivery and facilitates the process standardization and coordination of care by collaborating with the frontline provider teams. In 2005, Dr. Anzai founded Women In Radiology at the University of Washington as an extension of her participation with the AAWR (American Association for Women In Radiology). She has served in several leadership roles with the AAWR since creating the branch at the UW, and she is a past President. Her leadership was vital to create a network for women trainees and faculty, which continues to this day. She has over 19 years of experience in working as a neuroradiologist at leading academic institutions with a background in health services research. She has an adjunct appointment in the Departments of Population Health Sciences and Neurosurgery at the University of Utah. She is a longstanding member of several radiology organizations and past President of ASHNR and AUR. She serves as the co-chair of the ASNR Evidence Based Medicine committee, co-director of HVPAA radiology collaborative, and Comparative Effectiveness Research Training (CERT) program. She is also leading the institutional efforts to develop and modify the appropriate use criteria of advanced medical imaging as the CMS qualified provider-led-entity.

In addition, from 2006-2018, Bill Freeberg supported UW Women in Radiology.  With Dr. Anzai, he has served as an advocate for our women trainees.
