Imaging Center

resources1

The Bio-Molecular Imaging Center (BMIC) develops novel imaging techniques for anatomical, functional, molecular, and tissue applications, and provides a full range of imaging services for medical institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest. It aims to be a primary resource for the Pacific Northwest medical community and a place where new international collaborative research opportunities are established.

Using these state of the art imaging technologies and techniques as well as its established research collaborations, BMIC will be able to uniquely contribute to a range of medical treatment issues — in particular, those related to preclinical research in the area of regenerative medicine. This area, which is emerging as a major field of focus, is promising for new treatments of heart disease, stroke and other clinical conditions. In the future, BMIC will provide multiple imaging modalities for human and animal research studies.
