Biography

Dr. Zhang is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington. She is an active ultrasound researcher with 15 years of experience in the development and application of state-of-art diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound technologies, especially ultrasound elastography.

Dr. Zhang completed her radiology residency at the Providence Hospital and Medical Center – Michigan State University Southeast Campus and then completed an abdominal imaging fellowship at the University of Michigan.

She is a member of the Advisory Editorial Board of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (UMB) and senior member of American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).

Patient Care Philosophy

I enjoy working with referring physicians and patients closely to provide optimized patient care. I also like using new technologies to benefit the patients.

Chinese calligraphy, aquatic gardening, reading, traveling

Clinical Interests

Elasticity imaging, abdominal imaging, hepatobiliary diseases, MR imaging of prostate gland, minimally invasive and noninvasive body intervention

Research Interests

Shear wave imaging of the liver, therapeutic ultrasound including MR guided HIFU and histotripsy, translational ultrasound research
