Biography

Dr. Johnson is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology. He currently serves as the Director of Non-Vascular Intervention. Previously Dr. Johnson was a Senior Associate Consultant on staff at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. 

Dr. Johnson completed a Bachelor’s degree in Classics at Florida State University where he remained for medical school. He then undertook a surgical internship at the University of Connecticut before his Diagnostic Radiology residency at New York University, followed by a fellowship in Abdominal MRI. He subsequently completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Michigan. 

Dr. Johnson has a special interest in oncologic imaging, diagnosis, and treatment with an additional focus on performing complex urologic and biliary interventions. 

In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys travel and spending time with his wife and three young children.
