Biography
Dr. Johnson is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology. Previously Dr. Johnson was a Senior Associate Consultant on staff at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Johnson completed a bachelor’s degree in Classics at Florida State University where he remained for medical school. He then undertook a surgical internship at the University of Connecticut before his Diagnostic Radiology residency at New York University, followed by a fellowship in Abdominal MRI. He subsequently completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Michigan. He has a special interest in oncologic imaging, diagnosis, and treatment with an additional focus on performing complex urologic and biliary interventions.
Dr. Johnson was awarded the Fall 2022 UW Medicine Cares Award at UW Medical Center. The award program was established in 2013 to formally recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and excellence of those in the UW Medicine community who consistently exemplify the UW Medicine Service Culture Guidelines by making patients and families the highest priority by placing their needs first.
In his free time, Evan enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and three young children.
