William Yuh, M.D., named Foreign Honorary Member of Japanese Society of Neuroradiology

William Yuh, M.D., was recently named Foreign Honorary Member of the Japanese Society of Neuroradiology (JSNR). This distinction is awarded to foreign researchers from outside Japan who have made significant contributions to the society or to the education of its members. Board members unanimously agreed to nominate Dr. Yuh for the award, which will be presented at an award ceremony on February 16 in Toyko, Japan.

Dr. Yuh, a professor emeritus in neuroradiology, is an elected Fellow for three academic societies: American Association for the Advancement of Science, International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and American College of Radiology. He also currently serves as a senator of the University of Washington Faculty Senate and is a member of the Senate Faculty Council for Benefit and Retirement.

He is a former vice chair of Radiology and former chief of Neuroradiology and is the Ellsworth C. and Nancy D. Alvord Endowed Chair in neuro-oncology, both at the University of Washington.
