The paper, “Association of Screening With Digital Breast Tomosynthesis vs Digital Mammography With Risk of Interval Invasive and Advanced Breast Cancer,” describes how digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) has advantages over digital mammography (2D mammography) for women in the United States with dense breasts and a high risk of developing breast cancer.

The paper will be published in print at a later date. Dr. Lee’s co-authors include Karla Kerlikowske, M.D.; Yu-Ru Su, Ph.D.; Brian L. Sprague, Ph.D.; Anna N. A. Tosteson, Sc.D.; Diana S. M.
