View open faculty positions

The University of Washington is one of the major academic institutions in the Pacific Northwest, and the radiology department has the largest group of board-certified pediatric radiologist in the Northwest. Located at Seattle Children’s Hospital, the pediatric radiology team is specially trained to care for infants, children, and teens. The section consists of 25 pediatric radiology faculty, 4 ACGME fellows, and between 7 to 10 resident trainees on rotation each month.

Our mission is to train and graduate physicians capable of providing outstanding age-appropriate patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric health problems. Training is in all aspects of imaging, in both the inpatient setting and the outpatient setting, allowing our trainees to develop pediatric imaging expertise in neonatology, oncology, musculoskeletal disease, neurosciences, vascular and interventional imaging, and chest disease. In addition, we continually strive to collaborate closely with other radiology sections and clinical departments.

The main campus and satellite facility (east of Seattle) have state-of-the-art technologies, including digital imaging, allowing us to provide the most advanced diagnostic services and treatments available. Our fellowship-trained faculty perform over 120,000 radiological exams annually in all imaging modalities. Lastly, all trainees have access to a support team that plays highly active roles in clinical practice, continuing medical education, resident and fellowship training, process and quality improvement, and academic research.
