IR Residency

The UW is proud to have matched its first IR Residency Class! Welcome Class of 2023!

The University of Washington was accredited by the ACGME to begin the IR Residency in April, 2016. We matched our inaugural class in March, 2017. Welcome Class of 2023!

The University of Washington offers the IR Residency, Early Specialization in IR (ESIR) pathway within the Diagnostic Radiology Residency, and the traditional IR Fellowship. The traditional IR Fellowship will sunset nationally after June, 2020 when it will be renamed the Independent IR Residency.

We will be accepting applications for the IR Residency 2017-8 applications season via ERAS in September, 2017. The UW will begin reviewing applications on September 15, 2017 to offer interviews at UW from October – December, 2017. Please see the How to Apply page for further details.

We will be accepting applications for the 2019-2020 IR Fellowship via ERAS beginning December 1, 2017. Interviews will be offered in January and February, 2018. Please see the IR Fellowship page for further details.
