UW Radiology

IR Residency

We are pleased to announce the ACGME approval of the new IR Residency at UW!

The University of Washington was recently accredited by the ACGME to begin the IR Residency. We will still be offering the traditional one-year IR fellowship until the sunset of that training pathway in June, 2020. Beginning this fall, we will be accepting medical students into the new IR Residency, transferring internal diagnostic radiology residents into the IR Residency, and continuing to match traditional IR fellows.

For those of you interested in pursuing IR as a specialty, whether it be as a medical student, or if you are current resident in Diagnostic Radiology, there will be many questions on what to do next and the next steps. This website will be updated continuously in the coming weeks/months. Please check back for updates.
